Energy and Your School

Did you know that

Planting trees around your school will help to improve the atmosphere because they breathe in carbon dioxide. They also provide natural shading and wind breaks so heat is not blown away from the school building so quickly.

Creating suntraps around your school grounds uses the warmth of autumn and spring sunshine to make a pleasant sitting area.

Your school building can be used as a resource to help you become more aware of how energy can be saved in your school.
